Am I Crazy?

Okay, don't answer that.....but seriously....how can it be twelve days away from Christmas?  HOW?  Wasn't it July fourth just yesterday?  Weren't we eating hot dogs and singing along loudly with Lee Greenwood while watching fireworks?  How is it possible that we are less than two weeks away from Christmas and I hardly have any presents purchased, and have absolutely ZERO wrapped and placed under the tree?  How is it possible that I have neglected to take a Christmas picture of my children this year and mail it out to everyone I have ever met?  I say this is all a dream, and I will wake up and we will be celebrating Labor Day at the lake...talking about how hot it is and slapping at mosquitos.  There is no other explanation for my lack of preparation (tee hee hee...I said "preparation") for the holiday this year.  Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I overdo it EVERY...SINGLE...YEAR..., rushing out in August and September to start my "preliminary buying", I have most of it done before Halloween, and yet I panic during December, sure I just "haven't done enough!!!"  And every year, once all the presents have been opened and the hubbub has died down, I swear that I will never get that carried away again.  Is it possible that this year I actually stuck to that plan?  Me?  Who has never stuck to a plan in my entire life???  That's madness!  It's anarchy!!

I gotta admit, though...I kind of enjoyed not putting lights on the house this year.  I also kind of enjoyed turning the tree decorating duties (doodies) completely over to the kids.  Hmmm...I wonder how long I can use moving into a new house as an excuse....

I can't EVEN believe that you haven't been ordering stuff like a mad woman online or from magazinees like LTD or ABC, or whatever other crazy places you order from!! I seriously can't believe it. Last year it was practically every other day when you'd call us all over to look at the latest arrival of goodies or the lastest bag of Kohl's treasures you'd just purchased. Surely your kidding... what's happening??? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone...
