The Instrumento Novantatre's self-winding mechanical movement automatically takes account of the irregular length of 30-day and 31-day months.The dial of the timepiece catches attention due to the oddly placed pair of dial openings. These small arc-shaped windows are placed at 12 and 8 o'clock, displaying the date and the month. The hours and minutes are shown by a pair of hands.
